Agree - Week 1

Agreement, Alignment, and Connection

2 Chronicles 16:9 (NKJV)—For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is perfect toward Him.

Agree: to give consent, to allow, to think the same thing, to align.

Our faith goes to work when our agreement turns into action.

  • Faith is agreement turned to action.

  • You can’t have faith in God until you first agree with God.

Agreeing with the Word of God is what releases the power of God.

The faith fight is not physical; it’s mental.

  • The battlefield of the faith fight is in the mind.

The only force that can restrict God from working in our lives is our own thinking.

Psalm 78:40-43 (NKJV)  How often they provoked Him in the wilderness, And grieved Him in the desert! Yes, again and again they tempted God, And limited the Holy One of Israel. They did not remember His power: The day when He redeemed them from the enemy,

Mark 6:1-6 (NKJV) Then He went out from there and came to His own country, and His disciples followed Him. 2 And when the Sabbath had come, He began to teach in the synagogue. And many hearing Him were astonished, saying, “Where did this Man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, that such mighty works are performed by His hands! 3 Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?” So they were offended at Him.4 But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house.” 5 Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. 6 And He marveled because of their unbelief. Then He went about the villages in a circuit, teaching.

Proverbs 4:20-23 NKJV) My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of the heart spring the issues of life (NLV—Guard your heart (mind) above all else, for it (your mind) determines the course of your life).

Mark 4:24-25 (NKJV) Then He said to them, “Take heed (watchful) what you hear (let in, let pass, allow yourself to think—agree). With the same measure you use (what you deem acceptable, enough, appropriate), it will be measured to you; and to you who hear (allow yourself to agree with God), more will be given. 25 For whoever has (ears to hear—agree), to him more will be given; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”

There is active opposition to your thinking—fiery darts of the wicked one (thoughts).

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (NKJV)

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

Romans 12:2 (NKJV)

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Renewing our minds REMINDS US OF GOD’S POWER AND GOODNESS TOWARD US.

  • It realigns our thinking—when we are in alignment, we can make a connection.

Psalm 78:40-43 (NKJV)  How often they provoked Him in the wilderness, And grieved Him in the desert! Yes, again and again they tempted God, And limited the Holy One of Israel. They did not remember His power: The day when He redeemed them from the enemy,

  • If we want the power of God released in our situation then we must agree with what the Word of God says concerning our situation.
