Written in Red - Week 4

John 8:31-32 (NKJV)—Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”

  • The Word of God tells us the truth about who we are.

  • The Word of God tells us the truth about who God is.

The Word of God gives us the ability to see and know what we could never see and know on our own.

  • The Word of God shows us the boundaries to stay within and the guidelines to follow if we want to fully release our potential.

  • With study, discipline and practice, we can realize and accomplish the purpose God has for us.

John 8:31-32 (NKJV)—Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”

Where there is ignorance to the Word of God, there will always be bondage.

  • When we don’t know the truth, we are left in the dark.

Psalm 119:105 (NKJV)—Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

John 15:5—I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.

  • Freedom outside of the truth is not freedom at all.

  • Freedom without truth always leads to bondage.

Hosea 4:6—My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge.

Galatians 5:1 (AMP)—In [this] freedom Christ has made us free [and completely liberated us]; stand fast then, and do not be hampered and held ensnared and submit again to a yoke of slavery [which you have once put off].
