My Money | Week 8
Prepare the Way
Every gift tells a story…a story about the person who gave it.
Every gift turns our attention to the one who gave it.
This is why the Kingdom of God is centered around giving.
John 3:16 (NKJV) For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
God gave knowing that the gift would turn our attention to Him.
The gift that God gave us did two things: it fixed a problem and revealed the Father’s heart.
The heart of the giver is attached to the gift, which makes an even greater impact.
A great gift is remembered because it reveals the heart of the One who gave it.
This is what being a giver is all about— We give to connect people to the heart of God.
When God’s blessings stop with us, the heart of God is not revealed.
Romans 2:4 (NKJV) [it is] the goodness of God leads [men] to repentance.
We are all called to be givers of God’s goodness to those hurting, broken and lost.
We are called to reveal the heart of the Father through giving.
Most people have heard God loves them, but have never experience the love of God.
We share the love of God through giving.
Proverbs 18:16 (NKJV) A man’s gift makes room for him.
No one is immune to the force of generosity.
A gift can remove preconceived ideas and misconceptions that have grown for years.
A gift can clear a path to the heart of the one who gave the gift.
Our generosity clears a path to make God’s heart visible to the world.
This is the reason the church exists, to clear a path to the heart of God.
If they can catch a glimpse of His heart—that’s all it takes..
When you support a ministry, what that ministry accomplishes is credited to you.
That means that we make our money a ministry when we give.
