My Money | Week 7

The Blessing of a Lifetime

Malachi 3:10-11 (NKJV) Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.

God’s economy includes far more than money.

Luke 16:10-12 (NKJV) In God’s economy, money is the least valuable.

Which is more valuable, getting what you need or having the ability to get what you need?

Deuteronomy 8:18 (NKJV) “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power (strength, efficiency, ability) to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

  • God does not provide you with money—He provides you with the ability.

Genesis 1:28 (NKJV) 28 Then God blessed (kneel and present a gift) them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue (tread down, beat or make a path, press, squeeze, kneadsculpt) it.

  • Empowered with His ability (creativity, wisdom, understanding and insight).

Numbers 6:22-26 (AMPC) And the Lord said to Moses, 23 say to Aaron and his sons, this is the way you shall bless the Israelites. Say to them, 24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;

25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you; 26 the Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).

Ephesians 1:3 (NKJV) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

  • There is a difference between ownership and possession.

  • We have to choose to take what God has given us.

The blessing that God poured out wasn’t received in a moment, because a moment can’t contain it.
