Before he left the earth to return to his heavenly Father, Jesus prayed, "Now Father bring me into the glory we shared before the world began" (John 17:5).
When God gives His glory, He gives Himself. The one who receives His love also gets His mercy, His holiness, and His strength. Those who seek the glory of God must learn that He truly desires to give Himself to us, which means He wants us to enjoy the fullness of everything He has to offer.

If anyone could ever think they had the perfect earthly father, well it wouldn’t be and couldn’t be the truth. As much as I’d like to think my father was perfect, that he did no wrong, that he could beat anybody else’s father up, that when he unbuttoned his shirt it would expose the S on his chest and a little bit of the cape he wore sticking out… well of course I’d be wrong, because he did have his shortcomings.
